Description

Visit the picturesque seaside town of Whitehead to experience the magic of steam.

On the historic 1907 platform at Whitehead Excursion Station you’ll board the train for a short trip within the premises. Hauled by their 105-year-old locomotive No.3BG "Guinness".

Included in your ticket price is complimentary admission to their 5-gallery Museum (allow at least an hour) as part of European Heritage Open Day. NOTE: Guided Tours are available at 10:30, 12:00 and 14:00.

Trains every 30 minutes from 11am until 3pm (except 1pm), but tickets need to be booked in advance to get your preferred time slot. Note, this is a short train ride – 3 trips up and down their own railway platform. Although you will be hauled by an engine under steam, you will not be transported off site.

Afterwards, you can treat yourself to tea/coffee and snacks in the Cups & Carriages Edwardian Tea Room.
