Archaeology 2030 Halloween & Heritage Celebration
Description
Archaeology 2030 are delighted to announce a spooktacular family-friendly event to celebrate Halloween.
Archaeologists from HERoNI DfC (Historic Environment Record of NI) will be in attendance to answer any questions, and to demonstrate the NI Historic Environment Map Viewer, to show where some of our most interesting historic sites are. The brave amongst you might even want to learn about some ghost stories or unusual tales that originate from some of our archaeological and historical sites!
This event is suitable for families and individuals of all ages. Why not come along and make your own spooky castle, or enjoy dressing up as a historical character? As well as games and activities for children (or for anyone young at heart), they will also have replica prehistoric pots and artefacts for handling, and interactive demonstrations of the Historic Environment Map Viewer if you’d like to find out more about heritage assets in your local area or throughout NI.
This a free drop-in event, and you are welcome to spend as little or as long as you like. They look forward to meeting you! For more information about Archaeology 2030 check out their website
