oin Art is Collective, a weekly multi-ability group of artists, to work on a large scale improv drawing. Loosen up your creativity and see where it goes. Materials provided or bring your own!
Art is Collective is a group of artists that emerged from the knowledge and experience of Bronagh Lawson and Ngaire Jackson working with adults with learning difficulties and the observation that at some point they required supported studio space. We have evolved in different ways via an exhibition called Right to Create at PS² = Paragon Studios for supported studio space Right to create – Paragon Studios,an assisted studio trial at Castlecourt called Maker Mall, temporary assisted studio space and exhibitions at Belfast School of Art and have more recently found a temporary home every Thursday 10-2pm in the wonderfully inter-generation, inter-community space of 2 Royal Avenue. Art Is Collective is run entirely voluntarily.
The group continues to evolve and brings connections, collaborations and opportunities. 2025 will include some solo shows for long time group members and a group exhibition in the University of Atypical gallery.
