Hosted by The Open University, this event offers a unique blend of educational talks, hands-on activities, and expert discussions.

Meet the Experts:

Living on the Moon - Professor Mahesh Anand will lead this fascinating talk, offering insights into how the Moon is becoming a critical testbed for future Mars exploration and sustainable resource utilisation on Earth and in Space. You’ll even have the chance to hold a piece of Moon rock!

Living on the Sun - Professor Stephen Peake will delve into the science behind living on the Sun —exploring how the Sun’s energy can power our future and combat climate change. His dynamic and interactive session will take you on a journey through energy and climate science.

Ecoanxiety and How We Can Take Action - In addition to his talk on climate and energy, Professor Stephen Peake will also team up with Dr. Fiona Aiken for a thought-provoking session on Ecoanxiety and How We Can Take Action. Stephen and Fiona will offer practical strategies for addressing the emotional toll of environmental crises, empowering attendees to take meaningful action in their own lives while maintaining hope for the future.

Stands and Activities:

Sustainability Stand –Explore the innovative Treezilla App, a "monster map of trees," and learn how technology is helping us track environmental change. Get involved with fun games like "How Bad Are Bananas", where you can test your knowledge of sustainability and energy.

Geology Rock Kits – Explore the wonders of Earth’s geology, and dive into Ecoanxiety courses that provide resources on how to cope with the environmental crises facing our planet.
