Description

After a restful night’s sleep, Amal awakes outside St Annes Cathedral to a dawn chorus.

A murmuration of birds surround Amal as she offered a flower crown and bestowed the honor of The May Queen –  a symbol of strength and nature.

The streets come alive with moving forest of wildlife, flowers and nature brought to life by music, floats and costume as Amal leads a springtime procession to the grounds of City Hall.

The parade will leave at 12.30pm moving along Donegal Street, onto Bridge Street before making its way down High Street and onto Donegal Place and then ending at City Hall. The best viewing points for the parade are on High Street/Donegal Place

Rolling road closures will be in place between 11.40am and 1pm facilitated by the PSNI which will affect traffic flow in the city centre and bus routes. Please check with Translink for diversions.  .
