Paul Dunlea’s Crane Lane Quartet
Description
Scott's Jazz Club are delighted to welcome back Cork trombonist Paul Dunlea in this cross-border ensemble.
Their co-founder and pianist Scott Flanigan plays each week with this particular line up in Crane Lane, Cork, as one of Ireland’s longest running jam sessions, and they're looking forward to welcome this Cork-based band up to Belfast.
Joining Paul and Scott will be two of Cork’s busiest musicians: Davie Ryan, who is a drummer with extensive experience both nationally and internationally as a touring & recording musician, producer, and educator in a range of diverse genres including pop, jazz, folk, rock, world and traditional music. He has wide-ranging expertise as a recording artist and has worked with many renowned studio producers both in Ireland and abroad. Davie has his own recording studio (Under The Umbrella) in Cork City, Ireland where he provides both remote and in-person recording/production; and on bass a recent graduate of the MTU Cork School Of Music Michael Riordan, who is the bassist in the up-and-coming Cork-based ensemble Projective.
This band brings musical fireworks to audiences in Cork weekly with jazz standards alongside jazz arrangements of songs by Paul McCartney, Sting and others.
