Neil Jordan: A Journey Through Cinema and Literature
Description
An evening with Academy Award-winning filmmaker and novelist Neil Jordan as he discusses his vivid, moving, and strange memoir, ‘Amnesiac’.
Neil Jordan is the creative mind behind films like ‘Angel’, ‘Mona Lisa’, ‘Michael Collins’, ‘The Crying Game’, and ‘Interview with the Vampire’, and novels such as ‘The Past’ and ‘Night in Tunisia’.
Jordan will explore his past and family history: from growing up near an abandoned estate in Dublin, to his passion for music and early productions with Jim Sheridan.
Hear stories of his collaborations with Stephen Rea, Jaye Davidson, Bob Hoskins, and Tom Cruise, and reflections on loss, love, creativity, and even the supernatural by one of Ireland’s most unusual artists.
