Take your cake-making and decorating skills to a new level in this practical hands-on cake making class.
Recipes to include:
- Coffee & Walnut Layer Cake
- Lemon & Raspberry Cake with Swiss Meringue Buttercream
Techniques and skills will include:
- Making a classic sponge cake
- Classic Buttercream
- Swiss Meringue Buttercream
- Layering and Masking a cake with buttercream
- Crumb coat
- Simple Piping techniques
Take your cake-making and decorating skills to a new level in this practical hands-on cake making class.
Watch as Mary-Anne demonstrates how to make a classic sponge cake and two different types of buttercream.
She will then ice and decorate two different cakes. One with a classic Coffee Buttercream and one with Swiss Meringue Buttercream.
You will use the best possible ingredients and these will be discussed, as well as the equipment and the techniques as you go along.
Whether you are a complete novice at cake making or a regular baker, May-Anne is on hand to guide and assist you whatever your level of experience.
You will make your own 6″ Coffee & Walnut layer cake and classic buttercream which you will use to fill and ice your cake on top. And finish with simple piping.
Note this class will last approximately 3.5 – 4.0 hours and is suitable for all levels of experience. Refreshments included throughout.
