Description

Celebrate Easter at the Ulster Folk Museum with traditional activities, heritage craft demonstrations, and music for the entire family to enjoy!

From Easter Sunday to Tuesday 22nd April, take part in Easter traditions from egg rolling to heritage craft demonstrations at the Folk Museum.

Discover the origins of the Easter egg, have a go at our themed craft station and meet our talented makers as they demonstrate heritage skills - including Easter card making in our Print Shop. Get involved with traditional games, try tasty food samples and listen to live music.

Planning your visit for Easter Monday (21st April)? The Folk Museum will have Ferguson Memorial Pipe Band playing throughout the day, and a craft workshop with Annan's Arch based on the mischievous creature from Gaelic folklore - the Púca! Plus everyone's favourite Easter activity - egg rolling on the Bleach Green.

What to know:

  • This is usually a busy period at the museum. Parking is available in their main car park and overflow car parks will be available.
  • Pop into the Ballycultra Tearoom for lunch, or bring your own picnic along to enjoy in one of our outdoor picnic areas.
