This Easter weekend, embark on an exciting mission to uncover remarkable insects living in the woodland at WWT Castle Espie.

Use observation trays and ID charts to get a closer look at spiders, millipedes, ladybirds and more, before safely releasing them back into their woodland home. The team will be on hand to help you learn lots of brilliant bug facts and discover why insects are so important for our ecosystem.

Limited spaces are available in each session so book your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. Please note that accompanying adults also require a ticket for Mini-beast Hunting but these are free of charge.

Dates & Times:

  • Fri 18th : 11am, 12pm
  • Sat 19th : 11am, 12pm, 2pm, 3pm
  • Sun 20th: 11am, 12pm, 2pm, 3pm
  • Mon 21st: 11am, 12pm
