Description

Experience a magical visit with Santa in the Ulster Folk Museum

Nestled in the RIC Station at the Ulster Folk Museum, a jolly fellow with rosy cheeks and a snow white beard has been spotted toasting his toes by the fire.

Come and meet Father Christmas at the most magical time of year before he packs up his sleigh and returns to the North Pole. Don't forget to send your letter in their Post Office, so it arrives on time!

Wander around the cobbled streets before and after your visit with Santa, taking in the magic with festive music, scents of cinnamon, seasonal fayre and exhibit buildings decorated for the season, as they would have been years ago. Meet their talented craft demonstrators, listen to festive storytelling and make your own Christmas decorations to take home. Don't forget to say hello to the donkeys at the Marketplace as well!

What does a visit to Father Christmas include?

  • Your Father Christmas ticket includes an individual visit to Santa covering child(ren) + accompanying adult(s) (one and two adult options).
  • A traditional Christmas gift per child.
  • Any additional adults accompanying need to purchase separate general admission tickets or if you're coming on Friday 6th or Friday 13th, book additional tickets here.
  • Please do come along to the museum before your allocated slot or stay after to enjoy the full experience at the Ulster Folk Museum at Christmas time. Opening hours are 11:00 to 16:00 except Friday 20th December, when opening hours are 10:00 to 16:00.

What to know

  • Father Christmas visits can only be booked online, walk-ups will not be allowed.
  • If you have more than 3 children within your party, we would advise booking across 2 slots to make sure you get enough time with Santa.
  • Please be at the RIC Station for your Father Christmas visit on your allocated time slot. If you arrive late, they will try to accommodate you at the end of the day, but you should know that this cannot be guaranteed.
  • If you need to purchase any additional adult tickets to join your Father Christmas group, please book through general admission here or Christmas Evening tickets here.
  • An accessible bus will be available on all dates to manage overflow parking.
