Hilden Brewery Tours
Description
Enjoy a 45 min brewery tour with Hilden's head brewer and see how they make and package their beer.
Whether you are visiting Northern Ireland or from Northern Ireland you will enjoy a trip to Hilden Brewery. Situated in the grounds of Hilden House, the brewery is located in the lower courtyard beside the once oldest car garage in Ireland; an Edwardian relic from the heydays of Barbour Threads Linen Mill. After the brewery tour, you will enjoy a lunch in the café, converted from the Georgian stables to a cosy café some 30 years ago. Lunch consists of authentic Irish stew with home baked Irish stout wheaten bread made with their own Hilden Stout accompanied with a flight of three of their beers. They have gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options, or you can purchase any meal off the lunch menu for a small surcharge.
They are located 20 mins from Belfast city centre, 25 mins from Belfast City Airport and 30 mins from Belfast International airport. The train station is a three-minute walk to the brewery and the trains from Belfast take 19 mins and go regularly all day. There is parking on-site and dogs are welcome in the café (not in the brewery I’m afraid).
Everyone is welcome on the tour, however children need to be closely supervised. Tours for under 12s are free, you can purchase kids’ meals in the café separately and over 12s are £10 which includes the stew but not the beer!!
There is outside seating and lovely gardens to enjoy on a sunny day, they are a 2 min drive from the grounds of Glenmore House where there is now a lovely park to walk around or they are a 7 minute walk from the towpath where many a customer has come on their bike.
- Adult Admission £25
- Over 12s Admission £10
