Copeland Distillery Tours

Be in the heart of the production floor where you will learn how they produce their gins, rums, whiskey, vodka and coffee liqueur. You will also hear the stories of smuggling and seized contraband in the local area!

The Copeland Distillery is situated along the East Coast, directly opposite The Copeland Islands. You’ll find the distillery in the old picture house, situated a stone’s throw from the harbour, where you can take in the historic sites of the iconic lighthouse before your tour.

The tour will take you on a journey through the decades of events that led them to the creation of their spirits. Shaped by the tales of the smugglers and savage ocean battles, you will experience history unfold, all whilst enjoying a sample of their portfolio of spirits. The knowledgeable tour guides will bring you through the Copeland production process, from grain to glass, for their award-winning gins, rum, whiskey, vodka and coffee liqueur.

While walking around the historical distillery you will learn about the locally foraged botanicals, their unique distillation processes and take in the picturesque views of The Copeland Islands and the surrounding area of Donaghadee.

You will also get the chance to sample their portfolio products during the tour experience. The Copeland Experience will last approximately 1 hour and you will have 30 minutes after the tour to purchase their spirits and merchandise.

• They reserve the right to refuse entry.
• No dogs permitted onsite.
• They would ask that you please turn your phone on silent, however please take as many photos and videos, create as many Instagram stories and tweets as you like, just please make sure to tag them.
• Parking is Free onsite - unfortunately they are unable to facilitate overnight parking
• In the interest of Health & Safety the Distillery operates a NO SMOKING policy on site, both inside and outside buildings. Visitors who wish to smoke are required to go to the marked area.
• Under 18 year olds may only visit when accompanied by parents
• It is essential for guests to arrive 15 minutes prior to the agreed booking time. As the distillery only operate a small number of tours it may not be possible to move to an alternative time.
