Description

A Belfast based theatre company that specialise in cultural experiences embedded in the city space.

Kabosh create provocative theatre company that transforms our understanding of who and where we are, through giving voice to site, space and people.

Alongside their work on stage, Kabosh regularly produce theatrical walking tours that animate local stories for citizens and visitors alike. Kabosh tours encourage audiences to look at city space in a fresh light and champion unique histories.

Kabosh have produced Belfast Bred: The original food tour of Belfast city. Belfast Bred is a taste led tour like no other as your guide Barney, a chef from the RMS Titanic who has spent the last 105 years frozen in an iceberg, brings a distinct historic flavour to the experience. You will discover Belfast’s rich heritage and get a fascinating and hilarious first-hand insight into the food that Belfast was built on.

Quartered: Belfast a Love Story, is a poignant, funny and moving audio walking tour that explores the LGBTQI+ experience through a distinctly local lens. Drawing on recent queer histories you’ll wander through the cobbled streets of the Cathedral Quarter on this audio-theatrical experience.

Kabosh have also created the self guided tour ‘Streets of Belfast’. This tour pools together political and oral history, archive images and voice recordings to give you a sense of Belfast’s most famous – and infamous- streets. Wander at your own pace and on your own unique route and use the recordings to bring the soul of the city to life.

Other tours and projects include Belfast Entries.
